What a week! The fishing has been pretty solid over the last 7 days and we have pics to prove it! Yes, the water temperature is really hot but we are still finding lots of big fish. This time of year the bait schools gather in small “bait balls” just off the beach. Sometimes there will be a million 2″ long “rain minnows” gathered in this bait balls. Needless to say its like ringing the dinner bell for all of the larger predators in the area. So, let me tell you how our last few trips went…. We started just off the beach in the early morning searching for spanish mackerel. We have been using cut pieces of spanish mackerel to catch the larger fish. When the fish are in a feeding frenzy around these bait balls it doesn’t matter what bait you throw them they are going to eat! This was the case on every trip last week. We quickly boat for or 5 spanish, which are good eating fish, then proceeded to look for the bait schools. It didn’t take long before we found them. We would ease up to the school of fish and you could see all of the monster fish lurking below. It was really cool! We saw sharks, king mackerel, cobia, jack crevalle, spanish mackerel, and more! As soon as  I would pitch a bait in the water it was game on! We fought big fish all week! Here are a few pics for your enjoyment.
