After an uncomfortably cold winter, we are finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I have been on the water nearly everyday the past two weeks and I’m starting to witness something that for a moment seemed like would never happen, but like it does every year spring has arrived! With it comes giant redfish, coolers full of tasty sheepshead, and much more. I’m not going to sugar coat it, the last two months have been tough for us guides. To make a long story short, the fish have been hard to pattern. Over the last ten days we have seen a complete change in our fishery. I’m starting to catch bait on a regular basis, the redfish have been thick, and the sheepshead are just now getting right. The weeks to come look very promising here in Pensacola bay. If you’re in the area and looking to get in on some spring action then feel free to give me a call at 850-450-3878 or book through my site www.captainbrant.com Below are a few pics from this weeks trips. These trips were all ran out of Pensacola because that is where the best fishing is at the moment. Whether you’re staying in Navarre, Pensacola, or Perdido key you are just minutes from one of our three launch sites. We can accomodate you in all three places and its a very easy boat ride to get to the fish from all three takeoff points. We are hammering the big reds right now and I’m sure that will continue throughout the month of April.
