Hello Anglers,

I just wanted to give you a little info on whats biting in Pensacola. In case you are wanting to book a fishing trip in May or June this will give you a good idea of what to expect to catch.

Speckled trout- The trout have hit the grass beds hard and heavy and we are catching big numbers. The quality fish are around but most of the fish average in size from 14″ to 16″. We are catching 30 to 40 fish a morning.

Redfish- The redfish are out in full force. We have been targeting them in deep water and catching 10 to 20 fish a trip. Most of the fish range from 7 to 25lbs. If the tride is right you WILL catch redfish!

Flounder- The flounder are hear but not in huge numbers. We are getting a few every trip if we decide to target them. There are some big fish in the mix. We boated one right at 7lbs a few weeks ago.

King Mackerel- The king Macks are here and they are here to stay! We have consistantly caught nice kings since the end of march. Most of the fish range from 10 to 25lbs in size. We are catching them just oustide the pass about 1 mile.

Red Snapper- as some of you may know, Snapper season opens June 1st. The snapper are very plentiful both in the gulf and in the bay. We are getting a bunch of fish in the 8 to 12lb range and some close to 20lbs.

Grouper- Grouper season also opens june first. Both the bay and the gulf have plenty of gag grouper to fill your coolers with.

spanish mackerel- If your looking to take home a bunch of fish then spanish is the way to go. We have been catching 20 to 30 a trip and they are good to eat. Most of these fish are in the 2 to 3lb range.

Sharks- If your looking to have a good time and pull on a big shark then book one of our shark excursions. There are lots of bull shark and blacktips right off the beach in the summer.

You can also expect to catch trigger fish, amberjack, bluefish, lady fish, mangrove snapper, and more!

Hope to fish with you soon!
