Today concluded another epic weekend here at Angler Up Charters. My clients were blessed with great weather and hungry fish on their Pensacola Beach vacation. We were on the water Friday-Sunday and each day was a success in it’s own way. Friday started out eventful after finding a school of starving redfish within the first few minutes of the trip. After catching our fill of 30 pound Reds we decided to target some fish to take home for dinner. Luckily, the spanish mackerel were out in full force. We spent the next 2 hours filling the cooler with tasty spanish and battling 50 pound black tip sharks. The last hour was spent targeting giant tarpon just outside the bayous in Pensacola bay. We saw plenty, but couldn’t get one to take the bait. Oh well! That’s why it’s fishing and not catching. None the less we had a great trip and I got to meet some awesome new friends from Alabama.

Saturdays trip was almost a carbon copy of Fridays trip minus the big schools of redfish. We started out catching loads of big spanish, sharks, and hooked 2 giant tarpon. The action never stopped the entire trip! What an excited morning of fishing on Pensacola Bay. Sunday was a bit tougher because we faced strong east winds, but still managed to catch quite a few sharks, redfish, and mackerel. It just wasn’t quite as comfortable conditions as the two previous days. We still caught plenty of fish and my California clients were an absolute pleasure to be on the boat with. I took today off to rest and get organized for the upcoming week of fishing.

As most of you know Red Snapper Season has started up again. If you are staying in the Perdido Key, Navarre, or Pensacola area and looking to get on some tasty Red Snapper like the ones pictured below then give us a call. We will be more than happy to accommodate you or your crew on a fun filled day off Pensacola Beach. You can’t go wrong with booking a Snapper trip. The action is usually non stop, they fight extremely hard, and you won’t find a fish that’s better table fare! Snapper season will be open every weekend through October so you need to reserve your spot now!

See ya on the water
